Your Disc Injuries Will Heal

Updated: Sep 19

Stop blaming old injuries! We often hear people complain about their neck or back pain today because they had a disc bulge years and years ago. Same is true for a car accident years and years ago. But here’s the truth - YOUR BODY WAS MADE TO HEAL.

In most cases, a herniated disc or a disc bulge will heal on its own within four to twelve weeks. Which means, if you had an injury or incident more than 6 months ago, it's probably not the cause of your pain today.

Here are some signs that your herniated disc is healing:

▪ The pain is gradually getting better.

▪ You are able to move more easily.

▪ The numbness or tingling in your legs is starting to go away.

If you are still experiencing signs and / or symptoms 4 to 12 weeks after the initial injury, it’s likely due to not receiving the correct treatment or guidelines. Perhaps it is time to try something new - a new chiropractor, a new exercise routine, a new mobility habit.

If you are experiencing neck or back pain, come see us today! We specialize in all things musculoskeletal and will find the root cause of your pain. Then we will provide you with some exercises, some tips, and some hands-on care to help you feel better.
