Magnesium Deficiency

Magnesium is an important supplement that so many people lack in their diet. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body and is used for over 300+ metabolic processes. It can help produce energy, build protein, regulate hormones, and more. Studies have shown that almost 50% of the US population is deficient in Magnesium.

Because magnesium is widely used in the body, a deficiency in it can lead to several health problems such as blood pressure, blood sugar, mood, sleep disorders, headaches, anxiety, and more. The tricky thing is, when you suffer from one or more of these conditions, most doctors chase other causes and not magnesium deficiency. Yet, this could be a simple fix.

Guidelines suggest taking 200 - 350 mg of magnesium per day and specifically magnesium citrate to increase absorption. Magnesium can be found in foods such as nuts, legumes, and grains. We also recommend taking magnesium at nighttime as it can make you sleepy.
