Hip Flexor Pain? Try this!

Updated: Aug 14

Do you have pain in the front of the hip? Try this exercise!

Hip flexors, those unsung heroes of the lower body, deserve some love. These muscles, primarily the iliopsoas, are responsible for bending your hip and pulling your knee towards your chest. Strong and flexible hip flexors are essential for activities like running, jumping, and even just getting out of a chair.

Tight or weak hip flexors can lead to a cascade of problems, from lower back pain to decreased athletic performance. The good news is, there are simple exercises to fix this issue!

  1. Grab a resistance band and put it around your feet

  2. Stand facing a wall. The wall is just there for balance.

  3. Hike one knee up at a time, like you are marching in place.

  4. Remember to go slow and controlled, keeping your knee and toes pointed straight at the wall.

  5. Do 3 sets of 10, or until fatigue.
